Donaghmore Ladies GFC

Donaghmore St Patrick's Ladies Gaelic football club was formed on January 29th 2003. Previously, in 1993, there had been a brief flirtation with Ladies football in the village, but due to a lack of numbers, the club were forced to withdraw after just 2 years. Ladies have always played a vital role within the Donaghmore club, however football opportunities were only available in neighbouring areas such as Galbally and Dungannon. Increasing female numbers at Under 10 training sessions previous to 2003, led the modern day visionaries to formalise the club's existence.

In the beginning, the club had to sow the seeds at youth level and competed only at Under 12 and Under 14, though there was an Under 10 team that played several challenge games. In their first season, the Under 12's won five of their seven league games, whilst the Under 14's did even better, winning four out of five league games and reaching the Grade 2 Championship final, where they were defeated by Cookstown. In 2004, the club entered a team at Under 16 level, and proceeded then to take part at Under 18 level in 2005.
